With the current pandemic, the state of the music and touring industry has dramatically changed. Where were you when everything was brought to a halt?
We had just won 1st place at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, and JW won "Best Guitarist".
How has that affected your plans for the coming year? Did you have a tour planned, upcoming album release?
All of our dates were cancelled, and we lost some of the prize-package festivals like the world's largest blues festival - Chicago Blues Festival. We had plans to record in Nashville, but that wasn't possible due to travel restrictions. Fortunately, we pivoted well and recorded in Ontario which led to being signed by Stony Plain Records for our Apr 1 release coming up, called 'Set The Record'.
What have you been doing to fill/make the most of your new-found free time at home? How are you supporting your mental health through all of this?
We've each found new ways to earn income through either teaching, streaming concerts, etc. JW enjoyed his time at home with his daughter who learned to walk mid-pandemic and is now a thriving 3yr old full of energy and has a wonderful sense of humour. Jeff is expecting in the next month as well which is super exciting. We've had varying degrees of mental health during this time but focused on writing, producing, and releasing this new record to stay positive.
How are dealing with the Covid fifth wave? Have things locked down again in your region? Have you had to cancel gigs, tours, etc.? Are things reopening & restrictions are lifting in your region? Have you booked any new gigs, tours, etc.? What are your plans for 2022?
Early 2022 has been challenging, but it looks like things are going to improve for our tour schedule as we release the new album on Apr 1. Publicist Eric Alper is already getting the word out, and the feedback has been excellent!

We are new, but look forward to digging in and checking out the content!!!
